Fathers Support Groups and Parenting Classes

CPO offers an ongoing Fathers’ Group that meets weekly to support incarcerated fathers at MCI Concord as they adjust to the role of absent parent. There is also a  Fathers’ Group that meets for 5-week sessions for fathers at NECC who are preparing for their imminent return to society and their families.

Groups stress honesty, relationships, responsibility, consistency, communication and expression of emotions.

Participants get help with the challenges of parenting:  improving communications, parenting from a distance, teaching discipline, raising children with a sense of self worth, regaining trust and forgiveness when returning home to the family.
